What should we do when we found we lost the original title of our house?
1st step, owner needs to make a police report and the main details stated at below must be recorded in the report paper.
● Date of lost the title deed
● Reason of lost the title deed
● Location of lost the title deed
● Information about the property:No & type of land title ; No Lot/P.T; Mukim dan Negeri
Other than that, owner also have to meet with Commissioner for Oaths to sworn the document. The owner needs to submit the following documents and fees to the relevant land bureau to apply for the registration of the lost title deed :
● application document for lost title deeds;
●An affidavit of the owner of the stamp and seal;
●police report certified as true copy by the police
●certified true copy of the issue document of title
●official search report
●certified true copy of the identity card of the applicant
●certified true copy of the latest paid quit rent receipt
●certified true copy of the latest paid assessment receipt
* ps: there are different requirement of document at different area, please do check at land bureau before submission.
